Urgent Needs
Food Storage Warehouse
The Rescue Mission is in need of a 2,000 to 10,000 square foot warehouse for the storage and sorting of non-perishable food for food boxes. We are very flexible on the length of use. It would be great if a 240-volt three-phase circuit was available for charging an electric forklift. If you can help out and/or need additional information, please call (951) 526-1200.
Non-Perishable Food
The Rescue Mission needs non-perishable donations of food. These food types include canned meat, peanut butter, jelly, boxed fruit juice, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned pasta meals, canned soup, instant soup, instant mashed potatoes, instant stuffing, instant rice, breakfast bars, cereal, crackers, and bottled water. Personal Care & Hygiene Items
The Rescue Mission needs toothbrush and toothpaste, children’s vitamins, children’s Tylenol, band-aids, hand & body soap, shampoo, razors, lotion, wash cloths, gift certificates, fast food certificates, can opener (hand-held), feminine hygiene, blankets, socks, undergarments, toilet paper, coloring books, pens, and paper. Housing Units
The Rescue Mission needs the donation of or free use of houses, apartments or condominiums to house homeless families in need of housing and care. The Rescue Mission will provide the oversight and programs necessary to help homeless families move from their homeless situation to full self-sufficiency. Skilled Volunteers
The Rescue Mission needs skilled volunteers to assist with the needs of homeless families. The need includes doctors, nurses, medical assistants, case workers, counselors, event planners, event coordinators, chaplains, and those who just want to pitch in.
