You're Helping to Change Lives

Jim Palmer, President

Your partnership with the Temecula Murrieta Rescue Mission in 2011 has been a vital part of renewing the lives of men, women and children in our community. That’s why I’m hoping I can count on you again in 2012 to stand with us and change the lives of the Least, the Last and the Lost in our community. The need grows every day.

Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, “. . . Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” And when you experience the blessing of filling an urgent need, you know you’ve done it for Him.

This past year, friends like you have helped provide hungry and homeless people with:
  • 478,010 meals
  • 41,624 articles of clothing
  • 795 medical exams and procedures
  • 623 prescription medication assistance
  • 4,236 shelter and bed nights
And because of faithful volunteers, generous donations of goods and services, and community partnerships, each $1.48 you send provides a meal and life-changing services and care.

Our Hope for 2012
The opportunities for outreach in the Temecula Valley are boundless. We're looking for partners just like you to help us turn the vision for reaching the poor and disadvantaged of our community into a reality. Once a week, in both Temecula and Murrieta, we serve the community on the campuses of local churches with much-needed food boxes, a word of encouragement, clothing and medical services. The turnout at these events is in the hundreds each week.

The Mission’s Mobile Medical Unit provides free health care to the underserved in our community. Many of the patients we serve have been turned away by other clinics because of their addictions, appearance and poor hygiene.

At Calvary Chapel in Murrieta, we see a broad range of people: The disheveled homeless man living in a car filled with all his earthly possessions. The elderly woman whose tiny Social Security payment forces her to choose between food and prescriptions for her diabetes. The mother who used to stay at home with her kids, but the economy has taken its toll and foreclosure, divorce and joblessness means she now moves from friend’s house to friend’s house, children in tow.

Your renewal partnership with the Temecula Murrieta Rescue Mission does so much more than just provide meals for hungry people and medical services for the disadvantaged. You’re helping to change lives through programs that renew hope and motivate men and women toward self-sufficiency and growth. Please renew your partnership today. You can make a difference in our community.

Yours in Christ,
