Rental Agreement/Facility Rules & Guidelines
Resident Application

Hope Family Housing, provided by the Temecula Murrieta Rescue Mission, is affordable housing consisting of four 3-4 bedroom homes in various locations throughout Murrieta and Winchester. It is designed to provide a final phase of transition for homeless families, with the primary focus of the program to provide HOPE through an environment of independent living with supportive services over a six-month to two-year period.
(Step 1) Resident Application & Pre-Qualification:
- Download, review, and then sign the “Rental Agreement and Facility Rules & Guidelines.” Once you have completed that then download and complete the “Resident Application.” Documents are located at links at the top of this page.
- Fax the Rental Agreement and Facility Rules & Guidelines, and Resident Application above to: 714.566.6465
- Wait for the manager to contact you with the pre-approval or denial of your application. If you are pre-approved, the manager will set a time, date, and location for step two.
(Step 2) Additional Documentation & First Interview:
- Assemble the following information and bring it to the first interview:
- Two sources of identification for each family member. Acceptable identification include: Social Security Card; California ID; Driver’s License; Passport; Birth Certificate; Marriage Certificate; and Naturalization Certificate.
- Three most recent paystubs for all employed family members and proof of current employment.
- Proof of other sources of income that could include: Social Security; Veteran’s benefits; retirement funds; annuities; pensions; disability; public assistance (TANF, AFDC, and general assistance); unemployment, disability compensation and worker’s compensation; child support; alimony; spousal support; recurring cash contributions; income earning assets.
- Most recent IRS tax return with W2 Form; 1099 Forms; for each adult.
- The first interview will provide an opportunity for you to go over the “Rental Agreement and Facility Rules & Guidelines” and review your “Resident Application.” In addition, the manager will make copies of the additional documentation that is outlined above.
- The manager will then review your budget worksheet that is within your “Resident Application.” Then the manager will estimate what your rent will be and go over utility expenses etc.
- The manager will then direct you and all members of your family 18 years and older to complete a Live Scan background check. Once the manager receives the results and you are approved you will move to the final step.
(Step 3) Final Interview and Housing Unit Walk-through:
- The manager will set a time, date, and provide you with the location of your prospective housing unit.
- Manager will then discuss with you the move-in process. Required pro-rated rent, security deposit of $250.00.
- The manager will set a move-in date with you.
